Tracker Flyers Update

November 10, 2008
Kelowna Tournament, The team went 2 for 4 and showed very well against some very good AAA competition. NEBC & Yukon came from behind to beat Richmond in their first game. Second game against kelwona ended with Kelowna on top. In game 3 the Flyers held their own agaist a strong St Slbert team but still lost. Game 4 was against the Prince George Courgers and NEBC & Yukon came out on top with a 7-2 victory.

Next action fo rthe Flyers is November 15 and 16th in Camrose against the Camrose Kodiaks.

The Trackers practice in Dawson Creek at the Encanna Center from 6:15-7:45 each and every Tuesday afternoon, Second weekly practice is at the Taylor rink from 8:45-10:15pm

The Trackers are heading off to the Kelowna AAA Tournament on the November 7th 8th and 9th weekend.

November 1st was a weekend off for the boys.

NE Panthers 4 vs NEBC & Yukon Flyers 5 Shoot out win
Goals by Brighton Campbell Robbie Sidhu , David Stephens and Burton Stephens had it all tied up after regulation time. After a 5 minutes sudden death 4 on 4 the score was still tied. the player shoot out solved nothing until the 4 player to shoot for NEBC & Yukon, Dylan Houle, put it past NE Panthers goalie to give the Tracker Flyers the shoot out win and an important 2 more points in the league. The boys all worked hard and showed excellent signs of improvment over the past two weeks of practice. Kris Drott stopped 39 shots in one of his best games of the year.

Goals by Jordie Cool and Brighton Campbell with assist from Walters, Poggempohl, Sidhu and Calliou, Ryley carter faced 39 shots and kept the Tracker Flyers in the game from start to finish.

Game winning goal by Brighton Campbell. Cole Calliou 1 goal, Poggenpohl and Hildebrand with 1 assist each. Kriss Drott between the pipes with 30 shots. Close game, both teams showing discipline and hard work for the entire game.

Dylan Houle with 2 goals, Robbie Sidhu with 2 goals and 1 assist, Divid Stephens and Cole Calliou with 1 goal each. Assist went to Walters, Cool 2, Hildebrand, Taggart 2, Mackinnon, Sidhu, and Sperling. Kriss Drott in goal with 29 saves.

Jordie Cool hat trick with 3 goals and 1 assist, followed by david Stephen with 2 powerplay goals and Robbie Sidhu with 1 goal and 2 assists. other assists to Walters, McCallum, Brennan, Sperling, Calliou 2, and Pearson. Ryley Carter with 26 saves.

1st period scoring - Justin McLeod assists to Cole Calliou and Cody Hildebrand. 2nd period - Kole Norris assists to Leeland Malkinson and Jordan Walters, and Justin McLeod with his 2nd goal for the evening assisting Cole Calliou and Cody Hildebrand. 3rd period - David Green with a power play goal and John Wayne Howes and Kole Norris assisting. Rounding out the scoring was John Wayne Howes assist to Kole Norris. Ty Gullickson in net.

February 2 - Trackers vs Peace River in Taylor

The first 4 goals were power play goals - John Wayne Howes (unassisted) Cash Brinkworth assisting were Kole Norris and Steven Fast, John Wayne Howes assisting Kole Norris and Cody Hildebrand assists to Cole Calliou and Cash Brinkworth. 5th goal scored by Brighton Campbell assists to Josh Bruha and Owen MacKinnon and final marker - Linden Apsassin assists to Josh Bruha and Cory Langdon.

Kole Norris with a goal and assist, John Wayne Howes with 1 goal and 2 assists, Cody Hildebrand with an unassisted goal, and Cole Calliou with the final marker. Aaron Dendys - 1 assist. Tyson York started in goal, Ty Gullickson came in 2nd period. The final goal scored by Wainwright was into an empty net.

February 17 - Flyers travel to Peace River
